Town of Trenton Announces 2015 Swim Beach Changes:
Swim Beach to open June 27 – August 22, 2015. In an effort to control rising costs, and ensure town taxpayers the most value for their taxes, the Town Board is implementing the following changes to the 2015 Swim Beach season.
Access to the Shirley M. Poland Swim Beach will now be regulated through a Resident ID card, Season Pass, or Day Pass System. Upon entering the bathing beach, patrons must show either their Town Resident ID Card, or purchase a non-resident season pass or non-resident day pass.
Access to the Swim Beach will remain at no cost for all Town of Trenton residents. Before going to the Swim Beach, residents must visit the Town Clerk’s office to sign up for and receive your Resident ID cards. Two cards will be issued per family. All family member names living at same address will be listed on card. Residents must show a state-issued ID, and proof of Town residency in the form of a Tax or Utility Bill from the last 6 months to pick up cards.
Replacement cards for Resident IDs that are lost will cost $10.00 per card.
Residents must show the Resident ID card upon entry to the Swim Beach.
Non-residents will have the following options for using the Swim Beach. Season Pass ID cards will be available for purchase at the Town Clerk’s office during the Clerk’s normal business hours beginning Tuesday, June 10. Rates will be set at $65.00 for an Individual Pass, or $125.00 for a Family Pass up to 4 guests. Additional family members may be added for $25.00 per person. All family member names living at same address will be listed on card. Season Pass cards must be shown upon entry to the Swim Beach.
