NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

The Town Board of the Town of Trenton will hold a public hearing at the Trenton Municipal Center, 8520 Old Poland Road, Barneveld NY 13304 on Thursday March 4th, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the a Community Development Grant Application for the Hinckley Sewer District.  All residents within the district are encouraged to attend.  Written comments may be sent to The Board of the Town of Trenton, PO Box 206, Barneveld New York 13304.

            Notice is hereby given that the Trenton Town Board has accepted the Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended 12/31/2009, which has been filed with the State of New York as the Supervisor’s Financial Report to the Town.  Such report is filed with the Town Clerk and may be seen during regular business hours.

Notice of Dog Quarantine

DOG OWNERS

NOTICE OF QUARANTINE

 

Notice is hereby given that the Oneida County Board of Legislators has passed a resolution ordering that all dogs in the county are to be securely confined during the time period beginning January 14, 2010 until April 15, 2010.  The quarantine is intended to prevent deer depredation in Oneida County.  Dogs running loose may be seized by any dog control officer, peace officer or police officer.  Under some circumstances a dog chasing a deer can be shot, and the dog owner can be liable for a civil penalty if their dog kills or cripples a deer.

TAX NOTICE

 

TAKE NOTICE: The undersigned, Tax collector for the Town of Trenton, County of Oneida , New York, having received the Tax roll and warrant for the 2010 County and Town taxes will receive taxes at the Trenton Municipal  Center, 8520 Old Poland Road, Barneveld, New York at the following times:

 

January

 

Tuesdays  - 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Thursdays & Fridays – 10:00AM to 5:00 PM

Saturdays    9:00AM to 1:00 PM

 

February and March

 

February 2,4, 5 &6 from 10:00AM to 12:30 PM

The rest of February and March, Tuesdays only from10:00 AM to 12:30 P.M.

 

Taxes may be mailed to:

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE: Taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2010 without penalty or interest.

 

 Senior citizens already receiving the Senior Citizen Exemption (this exemption must be listed on the bill) may pay without penalty or interest on or before February 9, 2010.

 

On all such taxes remaining unpaid after January 31, 2010 (or February 9, 2010 for seniors with exemption) one percent (1%) will be added for the month of February, one and one-half (1 ˝%) will be added for the month of March.

   

If taxes are unpaid as of March 10, 2009 a second notice of taxes due is processed and an additional one dollar will be levied and become part of the amount due.

   

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE: that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll of the Town of Trenton will be returned to the County Commissioner of Finance on April 1, 2010.

Town of Trenton Adopt A Platoon Program Restarts
August 29, 2009
The Town of Trenton Adopt a Platoon Program
has restarted and anxiously awaits an
official address of its platoon. The soldiers are currently in Kuwait and will soon be
deployed to their final destination in Afghanistan.

The new Coordinator is Carmelita Balsdon.

A list of items requested by our soldiers is posted at the Town of Trenton Municipal
Building and on the Town website. Items can be dropped off at the Municipal Building as well as the Prospect Library.
 
Arrangements are being coordinated by the New York National Guard Family Programs
through Anne Marie Lara, Military Family Assistance Center Specialist.
