Every Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Monday night is Judge Van Buskirk and Tuesday night is Judge Cannon.
WHEN IS DA NIGHT?
For Judge Van Buskirk, it is the second Monday of each month. For Judge Cannon, it is the first Tuesday of each month.
HOW DO I GET TO COURT?
Court is held in the Trenton Municipal Center, 8520 Old Poland Rd., Barneveld, NY.
Directions:
From the south, take State Rt. 12, go through the Mapledale Business Section, at the flashing caution light make a left onto Old Poland Road. It is the first building on the right.
From the north, take State Rt. 12, go past the ramp for State Rt. 365, at the bottom of the hill and at the flashing caution light, make a right onto Old Poland Road. It is the first building on the right.
From the west, take State Rt. 365 to the four corners in Barneveld, make a right onto Mappa Ave., make a left onto Park Ave. It is the last building on the left before you reach State Rt. 12.
From the east take State Rt. 365, go through the four corners in Barneveld, make a left onto Park Ave. It is the last building on the left before you reach State Rt. 12.
From State Rt. 28, follow the directions for heading north on State Rt. 12.
WHAT DO I DO IF I GET A SUSPENSION NOTICE ON MY LICENSE?
If you know which Judge handled your case, call him at home or at court on his night (Monday for Judge Van Buskirk; Tuesday for Judge Cannon). Court starts at 7:00 p.m. so try calling about 6:30 p.m.
I GOT A TRAFFIC TICKET. DO I HAVE TO APPEAR IN COURT?
If you want to plead guilty, fill out the back of the ticket and mail it in to the court at PO Box 521, Barneveld NY 13304. The Judge will notify you of your fine. If you want to take care of your fine immediately, showing up in court is the best way. If you want to plead not guilty, fill out the back of the ticket and mail it in to the court. The Judge will notify you of the date to meet with the District Attorney.
