Trenton Falls Scenic Trails 2015 Dates

Dates for Trenton Falls Scenic Trails opening, are SPRING: Weekend of May 16 & May 17th  and Fall: Weekend of October 3rd & 4th.  The falls will be open from 9 AM – 5 PM each of those days.

The Town of Trenton is seeking applicants for a Park Manager, Assistant Park Manager and Park Attendants to oversee the Town of Trenton Park activities for the summer.  

Some responsibilities:
•    Organize, promote and direct recreation activities
•    Keep daily records and provide reports to the Town Board
•    Watch over the use of park pavilions and sports fields
•    General  safety and security
•    Staff and supervise concession stand operations
•    40 hours per week, salaried position, 10 weeks

The Town of Trenton is accepting letters of interest for individuals interested in the following positions:

SUPERVISING LIFEGUARD (Minimum 18 years old with 2 years of experience)
LIFEGUARDS (Minimum 16 years old –preference given to 18 and older)

All guard positions must have certification in the following:

CPR PROFESSIONAL RESCUER
BASIC FIRST AID
LIFEGUARDING AND WATERFRONT
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR

SUMMER HELP
FOR MAINTENANCE


The Town of Trenton is accepting letters of interest for individuals interested in the following positions:

Laborers for maintenance of town facilities

Must be 18 years of age, able to work outdoors in all weather, experience with lawn care, janitorial work and general maintenance is helpful but not required.  Duties include general maintenance/labor tasks, such as grounds work, cleaning, light repairs and other such tasks; forty (40) hours per week; some weekends as needed.

You must have your own transportation and have a valid NYS driver’s license.

AARP DEFENSIVE DRIVING CLASS

AARP DEFENSIVE DRIVING CLASS

The Singing Hills Senior Group is sponsoring a Defensive Driving Course on April 22 & 23rd, also in May, 20th & 21st 2015 from 9 – noon on each day at the Trenton Municipal Center.
The cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members.

You can get a reduction in your car insurance if you take the class and the reduction is for 3 years.

TAKE NOTICE:  The undersigned, Tax Collector for the Town of Trenton, County of Oneida, New York, having received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the 2015 County and Town taxes, will receive taxes at the Trenton Municipal Center, 8520 Old Poland Road, Barneveld, New York at the following times:


MONDAY                    10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
TUESDAY                            10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
THURSDAY                        10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
FRIDAY                          9:00 AM - Noon
SATURDAY                                       9:00 AM - Noon (January ONLY!)

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE: Taxes may be paid on or before February 2nd, 2015 without penalty or interest.  Senior citizens already receiving the Senior Citizen Exemption (this exemption must be listed on the bill) may pay without penalty or interest on or before February 9th, 2015.  

On all such taxes remaining unpaid after February 2nd, 2015 (or February 9th, 2015 for seniors with exemption), one percent (1%) interest will be added on February 3rd, 2015, one and one-half (1˝%) interest will be added on March 3rd, 2015.
 
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE:  that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll of the Town of Trenton will be returned to the County Commissioner of Finance of the County of Oneida on April 1st, 2015.

The Town of Trenton is sponsoring free bowling for children from
ages 8-12 who are residents of the Town of Trenton at Adirondack Lanes from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon on:

April 6, 2015

This includes 2 games of bowling, shoes and a snack after bowling.
