"The Birds of Our Own Forests"
April 30, 2014

 The Trenton Greenbelt Committee and and the Town of Trenton will be presenting:

 

"The Birds of Our Own Forests" by Matt Perry. There will be a talk on April 30th at 7:00 PM in the museum section of the Depot in Holland Patent and there will be a follow-up walk on June 24th at 7:30 PM at the Greenbelt Pavilion.

Trenton Falls Scenic Trails
April 22, 2014
Trenton Falls Scenic Trails will open for the first time this year on May 10 & 11.  The opening has been delayed by the continuing winter weather. Redeeming Love church from Stittville will supply the food and drinks. Again someone will be available to discuss the history and geology of “The Falls”.
    Our trails are manned by local volunteers. As you walk remember to thank them for their service, without them we could not open. If you can spare the time think about joining them. There are forms at the sign out table .

The Town of Trenton Seeks Summer Help

Park Manager
Full Time Salaried Position, Summer Season (Mid June – August)

Assistant Park Manager
20 hours per week (Minimum), Summer Season (Mid June – August)

Responsibilities: Responsible for the general Town of Trenton Park safety and security, to include the Swim Beach and all other recreation areas. Additionally, they will assist with all required testing and compliance issues with State and County Regulations as well as assisting with startup operations of the Swim Beach. Further duties include oversight of the Swim Lesson program logistics, Pavilion rental issues, general customer service, incident reporting, conflict resolution, and coordination of Park maintenance issues with the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds and other duties assigned.

Qualifications: Prior experience in Recreation Management, conflict resolution and customer service is highly desirable. Ability to react quickly and enforce Park rules and policies is necessary. Candidate must be available for the duration of employment term.

Swim Beach Supervising Lifeguard
Swim Beach Lifeguards
(Beach open Saturday June 28th thru Sunday August 24th, 2014)

Responsibilities: Responsible to promote and protect the safety of all swim beach patrons. Lifeguards patrol waterfront and respond to emergency situations, administer first aid and lifesaving techniques in accordance with training and beach safety plan, enforce water safety rules, and assist in swim lesson instruction.

Qualifications:        CPR Professional Rescuer and Basic First Aid
            Lifeguard and Waterfront Certifications
            Water Safety Instructor Certification
