January 04, 2012 TOWN OF TRENTON MEETINGS NOTICE The Town Board of the Town of Trenton will hold the following meetings in January 2012: Wednesday, January 4th Organizational Meeting and Work Session Wednesday, January,11th Regular Monthly Meeting Wednesday, January 18th Work Session / Barneveld Fire Dept. Wednesday, January 25th Second Monthly Meeting All meetings will be held at the Trenton Municipal Center 8520 Old Poland Road, Barneveld and will begin at 7:00 pm.

December 06, 2011 TOWN OF TRENTON TAX NOTICE
TAKE NOTICE: The undersigned, Tax collector for the Town of Trenton, County of Oneida, New York, having received the Tax roll and warrant for the 2011 County and Town taxes will receive taxes at the Trenton Municipal Center, 8520 Old Poland Road, Barneveld, New York at the following times during January:
Tuesdays - 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Thursdays & Fridays – 10:00AM to 5:00 PM Saturdays 9:00AM to 1:00 PM
Hours during February and March:
February 2,3,4,7 from 10:00AM to 12:30 PM The rest of February and March, Tuesdays only from10:00 AM to 12:30 P.M.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE:
Taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2012 without penalty or interest.
Senior citizens already receiving the Senior Citizen Exemption (this exemption must be listed on the bill) may pay without penalty or interest on or before February 7, 2012.
On all such taxes remaining unpaid after January 31, 2012 (or February 7, 2012 for seniors with exemption) one percent (1%) will be added for the month of February, one and one-half (1 ˝%) will be added for the month of March.
If taxes are unpaid as of March 10, 2012 a second notice of taxes due is processed and an additional one-dollar will be levied and become part of the amount due.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE: Pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll of the Town of Trenton will be returned to the County Commissioner of Finance on April 1, 2012.
Town of Trenton Skiing
November 29, 2011 TOWN OF TRENTON SKIING
The Town of Trenton is sponsoring ski trips to Woods Valley for residents of the Town of Trenton on Fridays - Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, 2012. The Town is providing part of the lift ticket price. Skiing will take place from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The cost for skiing is as follows:
Anyone 12 (twelve) and over is $10.00 Anyone 11 (eleven) and under is $8.00 Anyone 11 (eleven) and under must be accompanied by someone over 18.
If you don’t have your own equipment you may rent it at Woods Valley. The cost of the equipment will be above and beyond the cost of skiing. To rent ski equipment it is $16.00 for anyone 12 (twelve) and over and $12.00 for anyone 11 (eleven) and under. You may also rent snowboards for $24.00. You will pay for the rentals at the ski hill. Please come in and fill out a rental form that will be faxed to the ski hill so your equipment is ready when you get there.
You must call and make reservations if you wish to go. Skiing must be paid for ahead of time. Reservations must be made and paid for the Wed. before each trip you will be going on. Please call the Trenton Town Municipal Center (896-2664) to make reservations from 2:00 – 4:00 Monday through Friday and talk to Claudette Johnson. You may also call Claudette at home at 205-4036. To make payments you may stop in at the Municipal Center on Monday through Wednesday before the trip from 2:00 – 4:00 PM or send a check to the Town of Trenton (by Wed.) at Attention: Caludette Johnson Town of Trenton PO Box 206 Barneveld, NY 13304.

Zoning Department FEMA Update
October 29, 2011 The Department of
Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has undertaken
an initiative to modernize National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) maps
nationwide. The Town of Trenton has
received a copy of the preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) and Flood
Insurance Study (FIS) for review by Town Officials, residents and property
owners in the community. The Town
encourages residents and property owners located in or near floodplains to
review the preliminary FIRM and FIS report.
FEMA has provided the preliminary FIRM and FIS report to the Town of
Trenton to allow for comments to be reviewed prior to becoming final. The preliminary FIRM and FIS report is
available for public review in the Zoning Enforcement Officer’s (ZEO) office
during regular business hours.
